Lily and Liya do Salt-n-Pepa

If there’s one thing weirder than seeing , it’s seeing porcelain skinned English rose in a shoot inspired by Salt-n-Pepa.
Not that I’m understating the significance of the rap group, who came out with such gems as “Let’s Talk About Sex”, “Whatta Man”, and “Shoop” (and yes, I’ll confess I still have some S’n'P tucked away in my music collection. You know you do too.) But it leaves me wondering: what do all theses 90s references mean to the younger end of today’s fashion crowd?

Alberta Ferretti’s fierce flappers: Fall 2010

For Fall 2010, Alberta Ferretti brings back the motifs of seasons past: beading, fringing and soft hues. Only this time, Ferretti’s vintage flapper girl is a little more fierce.
Hinting at the theme so prevalent in 2010 there’s a definite chainmail feel to some of the beaded pieces. Even the crimp-style pleating on Ferreti’s dresses gave them a less-than-delicate look.
